WELCOME AT TIN CAN TOWN
At Tin Can Town, 10 beautifully restored American aluminium retro caravans form a little village in the Brabant countryside near Oirschot: Airstreams, Funtears, a Spartan and more. No hotel rooms with a corridor and a key card, but your own gleaming little home with everything you need: a private bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a private terrace and, in almost every unit, your own kitchen. Every unit has a music theme and a superb hi-fi system. A milkshake from the blender in the afternoon, the music on in the evening, coffee in your own retro kitchen in the morning. That's why we recommend staying at least two nights: the first evening you arrive, the second day is when it really begins. Vintage Suites (2 people)
Made for a romantic stay for two. A fixed double bed, your own bathroom and kitchen, and a terrace all to yourselves. Made for a weekend where you don't have to do a thing.
Retro Lodges (2–4 people)
Our larger trailers are called Lodges. They have a fixed double bed, and the dinette converts into an extra bed for two. Plenty of room for a family coming back to their own little home after a day out, or a day at the Efteling or Beekse Bergen.
The Mansion (2-6 people)
Built inside a Funtear Mansion, our mansion is a 45m² chalet. It features separate bedrooms and a private bathroom. It accommodates 5 people as standard. It can be expanded with an extra bed in the living area and a Teardrop Trailer for 2 people.
Family Retreats (8–26 people)
Our own Family Camp sleeps 10 people plus a child, and the connected Tin Cans of our Family Retreat take us to 14. We can combine various units for up to 26 guests, and there's a central area for a BBQ or a drink. Everyone has their own unit, and together you share the little town. It really gets going from 2 nights.
IMMERSE YOURSELF IN A LIVING MUSEUM
Step inside a 'Tin Can' and you'll feel like you're in a living museum, or better yet, a time capsule. The kitchens are pure retro, with toasters that seem eager to brown your bread, coffee machines that sing along to your morning ritual, and a milkshake blender that lovingly indulges your taste buds. Some units even feature a Wurlitzer jukebox – because what is a 'happy day' without the right soundtrack?
Each trailer has its own name, inspired by the hits of legendary artists, because here, music doesn't just set the mood, but is the essence of the experience. And speaking of experience: during your Tin Can Town stay, you will be spoiled with HiRes Audio. We have installed a sound system that pays homage to the namesakes of our caravans. A record player is ready with a vinyl collection for the purists, but you can also stream your own music using the amplifier, and naturally, you can use the TV to binge-watch your favourite series. All streaming services are already installed, because who wants to waste time setting up Netflix when you can hang out in the 1950s? And of course, we have the legendary series with 'The Fonz' ready for you on DVD.
We're a boutique hotel and B&B retro resort, just without corridors, shared bathrooms or standard rooms. Here you live the Happy Days of the 1950s, right in the De Mortelen nature reserve near Oirschot. De Kampina (Oisterwijk/Boxtel), great for walking and cycling, is just 6 km away by bike. You can also drive to Beekse Bergen (24 km) or the Efteling (36 km) for a day at the park, or simply do nothing at all. In season there are dozens of famous festivals nearby (including Intents, Awakenings and Paaspop). Our trailers can be booked individually for 2 to 6 people, or together as a group stay: Grand Crunchy Granola (4 people, 6 with an extra teardrop), Space Oddity Family Camp (10 adults + 1 child up to age 10) and Tin Can Town Family Retreat (up to 14 people). By combining units we can host groups of up to 26. For the kids, or as extra sleeping space, we have two separate Teardrop mini caravans.
Personal check-in is usually between 4 and 6 pm; outside those hours you can always use our key lockers. After booking, you can add all kinds of extras in our Guest Portal, such as early check-in, late check-out, breakfast, the Kamado BBQ or a welcome pack. Eindhoven Airport is just a few kilometres away.
Tin Can Town Oirschot is perfect for group stays of up to 26 adults. We have separate Teardrop mini caravans for the kids or as extra beds. This isn't a room where you just sleep. It's a place where you'll want to stay.
